Business Award Categories

• Business of the Year

  The winner of this award will be the business that has demonstrated overall business excellence.  Judges will be looking for competitive advantage, implementation of strategies for growth and future objectives.

   
•  Most Promising New Business 

  Judges will be considering rationale behind starting the business, objectives set for the business and progress to date in achieving them, plus future plans and processes in place to attain these.

   
• Enterprenuer of the Year 

  The category focuses on an individual and will be awarded to the entrant that can outline specific successes in which they have played an instrumental role.  Judges will be considering how entrants differ from others and their vision of the future of their business/es.

   
• The Green Award 

  Judges will be considering the environmental practices employed by entrants and specific initiatives introduced to reduce the effect of business activities on the environment plus their impact on the business.

   
• Award for People Development

  Entrants should demonstrate their commitment to people including how training needs and relevant training are identified and delivered plus specific initiatives implemented to ensure people development.

   
• Award for Innovation Through Technology

  Consideration will be given to how a market need/challenge or opportunity was identified, how technology was used to solve the problem and how the results impacted on the business.

   
• Excellence in Marketing

  Entrants should outline a specific marketing initiative they have implemented plus the reasons behind it, methods utilised and how they were selected, the results of the campaign and it’s effect on the business.

   

• Achievement in International Business  

  Judges will be looking for innovative techniques in marketing and selling products/services overseas.  Competitive advantage and methods of employing/training suitable staff will also be considered.

   

• Excellence in Customer ServicesConsideration will be given to entrants’ strategies for customer service including how customer satisfaction is measured and methods of increasing positive outcomes.
