The Newport-based company has a history of training apprentices. Managing Director, Peter Lewis, explained: “We were prompted into looking at our education and training facilities due to a number of failings, both academic and vocational with several of our staff. After investigating the problems and putting them right, we felt that a benchmark of our system against others would indicate if we were making the right choices. We have always felt that we needed to train from within. You cannot just walk into the street and pick up an engineer.

“Winning the regional award was a superb commendation for all of the hard work put in by our staff and management team.”
